Bathy2 – The latest evolution in bathymetric measurement
The Bathy2 is designed to meet customer bathymetric requirements for a reliable, accurate and robust instrument with more functionality to suit specific operations up to 6000m in depth.
The product continues to evolve in response to real-world application and customer feedback, with recent updates enhancing both performance and usability.
Recent updates to Bathy2 include:
- Millisecond-resolution real-time clock for enhanced timing accuracy
- Sound speed profile recording with export to industry-standard formats
- Selectable sound speed calculations: Chen & Millero or TEOS-10
- Ability to run multiple Bathy2 and Interpreter instances on one PC
- Improved visualisations for clearer instrument status during operation
- Updated atmospheric sensor data rate down to 4800 baud
Bathy2 – Density corrected depth data directly from one instrument
An enhancement of the popular Midas BathyPack, the new Bathy2 uses state-of-the-art sensors to generate Sound Velocity and Density profiles for precision depth and height data.
This new instrument brings together the benefits of density corrected output directly from one instrument, alongside the flexibility of third-party pressure sensor input and Valeport interchangeable pressure modules to allow users enhanced accuracy at different depths.
